UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS

Mr. John DePietro

Mr. DiPietro:

SUBJECT: MARINE CORPS RESERVE TRAINING

Thank you for visiting us in providing a useful and entertaining. Of instruction on 20 January, 2007 during the “Back In The Saddle” training for 230 Marines from Marine Air Support Squadron Six (MASS-6) and Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 472, Detachment Bravo.

The topic of “You don't have to be perfect to be great" fit in perfectly with the goal of BITS, which is to pause at the start of a new year and evaluate how we are doing business, personally and professionally.

Since your presentation, I have been approached by Marines who were positively impacted by your observations and advice. A Chief Warrant Officer felt the confirmation as he had tried to adhere to the same principles that you discussed in leading his Marines. A Master Gunnery Sergeant was encouraged to take a new approach with his adult son who has made a habit of giving in and giving up when faced with challenges. I was reminded of the importance of regularly thinking those who work for me and the hidden value in making mistakes.

The professional manner in which you conducted the presentation showed that you take the time to prepare. We appreciate your researching the meaning of our Marine jargon and then using it appropriately. I certainly hope to work with you again and wish you success.

Dear John,

On behalf of the MPI-NJ Chapter, we wish to thank you for being our speaker at our April 27, 2007 Education Conference at the Hilton Newark Airport Hotel in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

The information you shared regarding "You Don't Have to be Perfect to be Great" and "Public Speaking for Women- the Rules are Different" with the audience was very well received and very interesting.

The Conference was attended by over 120 people, and post-meeting feedback was positive with fine comments on the content and presentation. We thank you for continuing to be a catalyst of business and personal growth for our members.

We continually strive to bring interesting and informative content to our membership for skill improvement and growth. Your participation made it possible for us to achieve this important goal.

Thank you for being part of this great MPI-New Jersey Chapter. We truly appreciate your time and dedication in educating our members in the meetings industry.

Sincerely,

David A. Bass

To Whom It May Concern:

John DiPietro has been a speaker at my company's annual conference for two years in a row now. He consistently gets great reviews from our attendees, which is why we invite him to come back.

I have had the pleasure of attending his sessions each year. He is extremely entertaining, while at the same time shares a wealth of important information to the crowd. He uses humor and lots of audience participation which makes for a fun learning environment.

I can wholeheartedly recommend John DiPietro as a very valuable and knowledgeable speaker.

Dear John:

It is imperative that I take time from your busy day to say a hearty THANK YOU for giving such a marvelous presentation to the student athletes that attended our annual basketball camp.

Somehow you said all the things that our coaches have been telling them all week about attitude, preparation, and taking the good with the bad in stride and always trying to be better the next time.

Your delivery was perfect. Pointed but caring. And the fact that the range of ages that you addressed was so broad, makes it even more impressive.

I should also tell you that your presentation was the topic of virtually every conversation during the noon break, especially the story your related about Michael Jordan that really hit home!

Please leave time in your schedule to speak to my team this season. We will be seeking another league chanpionship and with your attitude program, it will send us to our goal!

Sincerely,

Sean Doherty
